Bylaws
The bylaws committee makes recommendations for bylaw changes or amendments. This committee shall be responsible for submitting proposed bylaw changes to the membership for review at least thirty (30) days before the annual meeting.

Governmental Affairs
The governmental affairs committee shall identify and advise the membership on appropriate legislative concerns. This committee will develop and maintain methods of networking with the membership and other organizations. The committee will develop appropriate responses and approaches to legislative initiatives. This committee shall be responsible for the development of appropriate lobbying materials.

Conference
The conference committee develops, implements, and evaluates the annual conference and arranges for continuing education credit.
The 2008 Conference is being planned by the board of directors and Venda Kelley, president. vkrn@newwavecomm.net
Public Relations
The public relations committee is responsible for promoting Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Midwives, and KCNPNM. This promotion will be framed in terms of the purpose and objectives of KCNPNM as put forth in the bylaws.

Nominations Committee
The nominations committee seeks qualified KCNPNM members to serve as officers and board members.
2008 Elections will include Vice President, two board members at-large, student representative to board and 2 nominations committee members.

Reimbursement
The Reimbursement Committee is responsible for evaluating the reimbursement rate and process of insurance companies to advanced practice nurses and work to improve the reimbursement rate and process.
