Objectives: 

1.      Review the microorganisms most likely implicated in common types of infections

2.      Discuss antimicrobial resistance and prudent prescribing

3.      Review the core elements for both inpatient and outpatient antimicrobial stewardship programs

4.      Outline the most common types of chronic pain

5.      Review current treatment options for chronic pain

6.      Discuss the CDC guidelines for appropriate use of opioids
