Each Doing Our Own Part
Many of you may have taken the time to consider the questions posed on KCNPNM nomination questionnaire. Fourteen of you went a step further, answered those questions about your experience and vision, and completed the nomination form. Six of those 14 will be elected to serve the Coalition in mostly thankless positions. These are not the power-hungry, they simply are choosing to serve. They will join those with time still remaining in their terms and lead this organization through the next few years.
Please take 5 minutes to review the candidate biographies and vote. Elections close Thursday, March 24, 2011.

Network with APNs from Across Kentucky, Across the Region, and, Yes, Across the Atlantic!
You read it right, KCNPNM’s conference Toward Excellence in Advanced Practice Nursinghas drawn registrants from all corners of Kentucky, bordering states, and eight people from a small country on the west coast of Africa called Togo. So, if you’re on the fence, might this information help you make up your mind to attend? After all, it is just a drive across the state, right?
Who would have thought at KCNPNM’s first conference 22 years ago that we’d go from a small state conference, to a regional event, to drawing people from overseas? Those original planners had tremendous foresight and vision, especially in regard to sessions and speakers selection.
You get hand selected topics, hand selected speakers with well-thought variety for those just entering practice, those looking to build on expertise, those looking to improve their positions and those interesting in sharing their experience.
