Benefits of Active (Kentucky and out of state), Student and Retired Membership in the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives

KCNPNM News – KCNPNM’s newsletter is published in March, August and November each year. This publication offers updates on regional activities, practice issues, legislation, research, current board contact information and member commentaries.
Scholarships – KCNPNM offers two scholarships for MSN students and one award for an ARNP or CNM pursuing a doctoral degree in nursing. Also, we are privileged to participate in the awarding of the Jacquelyn Bail Nurse Practitioner Memorial Nurse Practitioner scholarship. Each of the scholarships is $1,500.00. Grants – Research money is available through KCNPNM Research Committee. We will award $750 for project proposals and $1500 for research proposals.

A message from our president
Being an active member of one’s professional organization is one of the hallmarks of a professional, regardless of career choice. Membership in KCNPNM is your key to information vital to your practice, to collegial relationships that quickly become friendships, and the key to you having a powerful voice on issues of concern to Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. We would like to welcome you, not just to join KCNPNM but to become an active member.
The objectives of KCNPNM are:
1. To provide a continuing education forum, including an annual conference, for members and other ARNPs.
2. To initiate and support legislation, and other pertinent issues, affecting ARNPs’ roles, education and practice.
3. To provide an exchange of employment options for nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and employers.
4. To promote public recognition of ARNP practice.
5. To facilitate collaboration between ARNPs and other health care professionals for the improvement of health care in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
6. To encourage and support research related to ARNPs and the delivery of health care services.
