Treating Tobacco Use and Dependence in Kentucky Hospitals

This training, the first of its kind, is based on the U.S. Public Health Service's Clinical Practice Guideline and features video content with demonstrations of how to successfully help patients willing and not willing to quit, in 3 minutes or less!   It is approved for 2.4 CEUs for nurses and can also benefit nurses personally, who are considering quitting.  We hope it will be helpful as an effective training tool in preparation for the 2012 Joint Commission measure set for tobacco use screening, treatment, and follow-up. The Kentucky Cancer Program has partnered with the Kentucky Hospital Association to promote this offering to hospital nurses across the state.  More information...
