THE WORK IS DONE IN COMMITTEES!

Editorial Committee.

The purpose of the Editorial Committee is to assist with the publication of information by the Coalition to its members.  We work with authors, gathering and editing content for our print newsletter; we assist in the dissemination of The Frankfort Wire; and our ongoing work is to keep the website up-to-date. Our hope is to share pertinent news via the website Featured News, blogs and our social media sites. 

 

If you are interested in working toward publication of materials for our organization to help promote KCNPNM's mission this is the committee for you. If you would like to learn more about this committee please feel free to contact one of the co-chairs at Editorial@kcnpnm.org to discuss upcoming projects.  We welcome new members year-round. Education Committee.

The purpose of the Education Committee is to provide high quality educational opportunities for APRNs. Each subcommittee is tasked with developing content, selecting faculty, and assisting with the collection of disclosures, outlines, and handouts for its area. You must request to be on this committee and membership is limited to APRNs with masters or doctoral degrees.

 

Conference Subcommittee 

Conference planning occurs in June during a face-to-face meeting which includes: abstract review, writing objectives and work within specialty teams to plan educational sessions. Committee members prepare for the meeting by reviewing conference evaluations from the prior conference and bring ideas for potential education sessions, workshops, and presenters.

 

Applications for service on the Conference Program Committee are accepted each May.

Workshop Subcommittee (5-9 offerings each fall) 

Workshop content is developed during video and teleconferences November - January. Applications for the Workshop Program Subcommittee are accepted each October. Apply, include your CV, via edu.w@kcnpnm.org

 

 

Membership Committee.

The purpose of the Membership Committee is to recruit new members, retain membership and promote good relations among members. Simply put, this committee works to increase membership satisfaction.

Public Relations (Visibility) Committee.

The purpose of the Public Relations Committee is to promote APRNs and the Coalition and increase the overall visibility of the profession in the public eye.

Reimbursement Committee.

The purpose of the Reimbursement Committee is to serve as an expert panel for the Coalition on issues related to Medicare, Medicaid, insurance companies and APRN reimbursement. Committee members keep credentialing and reimbursement information on our website up-to-date.

Research Committee.

The purpose of the Research Committee is to promote scholarship and research within the profession. Committee members solicit and judge poster presentations at the Coalition Conference each April. The committee meets via: Videoconference, Teleconference, and face-to-face at conference.

Scholarship Committee
.

The purpose of the Scholarship Committee is to promote the education of APRN students. This committee reviews and scores scholarship applications in early spring each year. You must request to be on this committee and membership is limited to APRNs with masters or doctoral degrees.
